As Major Fitt points out, he was a member of M.I. Action, a parody of G.I. Joe.  I use to collect G.I. Joe figures (still have quite a few), the comics and loved the cartoon on TV, and always wanted to do a comic of my own on them.  "Lord Styng" is from another comic idea that my friend and I came up with (he had a different name at the time, I think "Romulus" or something), but now I have a whole backstory for Major Fitt (plus another character who will remain unnamed at this time), and it gives me some great story ideas for a possible future issue of Flying Ferret. I do hope to get to it one day.
