Captured!

Flying Ferret #24, Page 18.

Yep, this has got to be one of the busiest February's I've ever had. Work has been busy. My personal life has been busy. Involved in a play, my wife is relaunching her hair salon, caricature gigs, playing D&D again... Yeah, I really did it to myself good this time. Good thing is, the play won't last forever, a couple of months here. I'll still do my best to get a comic strip out, it may be a few days to a week later than usual, but I really want to get this "issue" done and then I can allow time for my brother to catch up and I can concentrate on getting my printed comic out.

Anyway, this page was a little hurried. Sorry about that. I cringe at some of my drawings there, and the coloring job could've been a little better, but... under the circumstances...

Other than that, there are a couple of things I like in it, too. Like how Crazy Eyes' eyebeams failing worked out. I like that I show Dark Ghost's un-hooded head. This allows me to explain away some of the gaffes I made earlier with the look of his cowl. I'll just say that his hood is "customizable" and allow for different looks. Heh.

But this page is one of those pages that went through a couple of different variations, even the dialog was rewritten several times to get it "just right." I could tell you, but it probably wouldn't be that interesting, but what is interesting, to me anyway, is how some pages come out so clear, so apparent and that's how they go, and then I get those pages (like this one) where it mutates before my vary eyes.

Okay, that's enough. I hope you had a good Valentine's Day weekend. Mine was pretty simple. It's nice to have a wife who doesn't expect flowers and candies on this date. In fact, she resents it a bit, and prefers the more spontaneous giving of gifts for affection, and to me, that makes more sense. I'm not one of those who hates the day, but it is a little hard to expect romance instantly on that day, and no one should.

Well, catch you later. Hang in there. We're all in this together.
